Because we use premium materials, certified systems and fully insured labour — and we back every job with a written warranty. A cheaper quote usually means cheaper materials, no scaffolding included, uninsured labour or no guarantee on the work. On a property worth hundreds of thousands of pounds in Solihull or Birmingham, the roof is not the place to save a few hundred. We would rather be honest about our prices than win work we cannot deliver properly.
OTHER FAQ’S
-
Yes, completely. We come out, assess your roof and give you a clear written quote with no pressure and no hidden costs. You decide if you want to proceed. We will never chase you or add pressure after a survey.
-
This depends on our current schedule and we will always give you an honest start date upfront. For emergency repairs we aim to respond the same day or within 24 hours. For planned works we will agree a start date that suits you before any deposit is taken.
-
If your roof is under 15 years old and the damage is isolated — a few missing tiles, minor flashing issues or a small leak — a repair is usually sufficient. If your roof is older, has widespread damage or has had repeated problems, a full replacement is likely the more cost-effective long-term solution. We will always give you an honest assessment. If a repair will fix it, we will tell you.
-
Look out for damp patches or water stains on ceilings, missing or slipped tiles, sagging rooflines, moss or algae buildup, cracked or damaged flashing around chimneys, and daylight visible through the loft. Any of these warrant a professional inspection. Call Radian for a free survey and we will tell you exactly what your roof needs.
-

We use high-quality concrete and clay roof tiles suited to UK weather conditions, along with breathable membranes, treated timber battens and BS-compliant fixings. For GRP flat roofing, we exclusively use the Cure It GRP system — the UK's leading fibreglass roofing product — installed to manufacturer specification by certified Cure It trained installers. We only specify materials built to last decades, not years.
-
For most roof replacements and significant repairs, yes — scaffolding is a legal requirement for safe working at height. Radian Roofing arranges all scaffolding on your behalf, and it is quoted separately as a line item on your written quote so you can see exactly what it costs. We never hide scaffolding costs in a headline price.
-
GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Plastic — the same material used in boat building for decades. A GRP flat roof is completely seamless, fully waterproof and chemically bonded to the deck beneath. No joins, no seams, no weak points. Installed correctly by a certified specialist using the Cure It system, a GRP flat roof will last 25 years or more with zero maintenance. It is the most durable flat roofing system available for domestic properties in the UK.
-
A correctly installed GRP flat roof using the Cure It system will last 25 years or more with zero maintenance. The Cure It materials carry a 20-year manufacturer's guarantee. Radian adds a 5-year workmanship warranty on top — so you are covered for the long term from both sides.
-
Yes. GRP is suitable for virtually all domestic flat roof applications — extensions, garages, dormers, porches, bay windows, orangeries and balconies. We assess every property individually to confirm suitability before quoting. If GRP is not the right solution for your specific situation, we will tell you.
-
Most domestic GRP flat roof installations are completed within one to two days, depending on the size and complexity of the area. A standard garage roof typically takes one day. A larger extension roof or a full GRP rescue job may take two days. We always confirm the programme before starting work.
